About Us

AustinPurdy

Established in 1998 Purform has evolved from three generations of Mannequin makers, dating back to Austin Purdy in 1938. Originally designing and manufacturing Mannequins using Plaster of Paris and Papier Mashie, then in 1957 manufacturing using Fibreglass. The 1980s marked the move away from fibreglass to rotationally moulded plastic resulting in one of the world's most durable Mannequin ranges. Purform Mannequins and Body Forms are rotationally moulded from ‘LLDPE’ plastic which makes them incredibly robust and recyclable. Our Mannequins and Body Forms can't be chipped or broken like fibreglass Mannequins and the colour is in the plastic so there is no paint to scratch. Our sizing’s are international, the fittings are robust and easy to use and with the magnetic arm connections dressing and handling has never been easier.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve apparel retail sales by enhancing the customers perceived product value through the use of our Mannequins. Mannequins and Body Forms are the most powerful apparel point-of-sale tool available; they provide your customers with great visual selection and you with improved sales. Our Mannequins and Body Forms are designed to emphasize the clothing, not the Mannequin. The subtle features won't overpower the look or quality of the garments being displayed. Realistic sizing and balanced body shapes help to fill the clothes properly and create a more realistic display. From window to instore our variety of Mannequins and Body Forms easily fit into existing stores, creating a visual link so customers find clothes.
